Obstacle – Trying to see a way through

    A doorway.

Lets out, lets in, keeps out, keeps in. Demarcates a crossing over place, a traveling through place. To and from. People-sized, not too heavy to open and shut, strong enough to withstand wind or rain, snow, pushy people and time.

    Colour it red.

Give it a small handle and a slender mail slot, a brown border, and a modest cement threshold.

Surround it with pink bricks, add a wrought iron sign.

Add an ornate, classical, carved, gorgeous top. Lavish layer upon layer of audacity through texture, depth, design, edges, swirls, weight, balance, light, interest, secrets and tucked in places. Heighten it. Broaden it. Imbue it with grandness.

Remove neglect. Let it be used.

Celebrate the door. It’s size, shape, scale, and presence on the corner where two roads meet. Point it out. Show it off.

Give it room to be seen, found and opened.

Solution – Adorn magnify expand augment celebrate

    Blogroll highlight: Let’s Colour Project

Being a proponent of the remarkable power of colour, I love this project. It’s colour, it’s community, it’s love, really. Just to make it wonderful right away, they say, “This is the beginning of a colour movement that will spread around the world.”  Being a visual catharsis here’s the video. It’s only 2 minutes long and it will make you happy! I’d love to join them.
